When you get laser hair removal treatment, there will be a lot of shedding of the hair that we have treated. Within four weeks, the hair follicles will be destroyed and begin to fall out.

Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in the hair follicles that are in what’s called the anagen, or active growth phase. Once treated, those hair follicles will shed their hair and shouldn’t regrow it in the future.

 

Exfoliate your skin

Exfoliating helps to keep your skin soft and smooth by buffing away and removing dead skin cells. Your skin naturally sheds dead skin cells every 30 days or so. When this happens, new skin cells form the top layers of your skin.

You may notice some little black dots on the lasered areas 2-3 weeks after your session. Don’t panic! It’s just your skin shedding hair. Two to three days after your hair removal session, you need to begin gently exfoliating your skin.

One of the best ways to protect your skin after laser hair treatment is to exfoliate it, plus exfoliating accelerates the shedding process in preparation for your next treatment.

Free Aftercare products

After your first visit to Lancashire Laser Clinic, we provide you with free aftercare products after your  laser hair removal treatment. This includes:

🌿100% aloe vera gel
🌿 Exfoliating mitt
🌿Facial razor (If applicable)

Aloe Vera gel is used to smooth the skin after your treatment and the mitt is used to exfoliate the skin to help shed dead hairs.
